This is the only event of its kind in Canada! Pilot Butte will attract the best cooks in Canada, and this is your opportunity to taste their food! This event is sure to sell out, so don’t wait to book your tickets. Oversight will be provided by Saskatchewan’s premier BBQ caterers, Prairie Smoke & Spice.
Here’s what we have planned!
Brisket: Wagyu beef, prepared with the competition recipe from Calgary’s SmellaQue: 2018 KCBS Canadian Brisket Team of the Year, and the CBBQS 2018 National BBQ Champions.
Pulled Pork: Alberta Champions Rocky Mountain Smokers will be sharing their competition pork – cooked on Gateway Drum Smokers. This pork recipe finished 3rd overall in Canada in 2018 and 1st in 2017, according to KCBS.
Chicken: We’re smokin’ the same recipe used by Prairie Smoke & Spice – with more first place Chicken wins than any team in the country. This recipe put Prairie in the #3 spot for chicken last year, and #3 overall in KCBS rankings.
Ribs: Canada’s best Rib cook of 2018 is Scott from Arrowhead North BBQ from White City, Sask. He’ll be serving these ribs to you, and cooking them on his Bulldog Smoker, just like in competition.
There will also be traditional Southern sides: Whipped Bourbon Sweet Potatoes, Apple BBQ Pit Beans, Carolina Vinegar Slaw, Roasted Potatoes and Maple Bacon Cornbread
Dessert: Applewood-smoked wildberry crisp with vanilla ice cream
Bar: Cash bar onsite so you can wash it all down!
